The most important thing for Little World is that their products are safe. After lots of research and dermatological testing, they can confidently bring you the best product possible. Research has shown the importance of a natural product and, hence, they have formulated their skincare range with only natural ingredients, using organic whenever they can.
All key ingredients are organic: sunflower oil, jojoba oil, beeswax, manuka honey, cocoa butter, rosemary leaf extract, glycerine, chamomile, shea butter, organic calendula oil and organic olive oil. They also use kawakawa leaf extract, aloe vera and vitamin E.
Little World exists to be the cleanest, safes and best provider of quality skincare that they can be - an organic, 100% natural, safe, dermatologically tested skin care range for sensitive skins. Their goal is to deliver the highest quality, most natural and organic products that they can, whilst being good to people and good to the planet.
Little World's products have been made with organic ingredients wherever possible, and with no nasties. Packaged in glass, it is recyclable with labels and cartons from renewable sources.
Little World's Organic Barrier Cream, Organic Body Soft Lotion, Organic Face Cream, Organic Soothing Ointment and Organic Soap are certified by BioGro, New Zealand's largest and best-known certifier for organic produce and products.
Furthering their commitment to sustainability, Little World has taken the following initiatives in terms of their products and packaging:
- All products are packaged in glass supplied from O-I NZ, New Zealand's only glass, bottle and jar manufacturer.
- Labels are printed on Rockstock, one of the world's most environmentally-friendly papers. Manufactured from waste stone and building industry offcuts, so no trees are harmed during production.
- Boxes and cartons are printed using vegetable-based inks on paper from responsible, renewable forestry.
Founded by Jo Gilberd, who has a long history of designing and managing skincare and food ranges. Amongst the hundreds of products Jo has developed, many are still selling in Europe today.
Since moving to New Zealand from England in 2003, Jo has become more and more aware of the need to protect our fragile world, and has developed the Little World organic skincare range to reflect her passion to make natural, organic and safe products without harming the planet in the process. This range is all about protecting and enhancing sensitive skin. It has been scientifically formulated using the best available local ingredients.
Jo lives in Titirangi, West Auckland, New Zealand, in the heart of the Waitakere Ranges National Forest, a regional parkland bursting with native flora and fauna and on the edge of the wild west coast. Jo's lifestyle reflects her environment and her love of the great outdoors, often seen tramping the many trails through the trees or surfing the waves and running their dog at Piha Beach. She lives with her husband Paul, her son Charlie and their little dog, Gus.
